Program
The International Training School on Nanophotonics will be held on October 11th to 15th, 2010 in Naples, Italy, one of the most beautiful cities on the Mediterranean coasts. The School is devoted to the science and technology of Nanophotonics, with particular attention to the materials and technologies which have made possible the most significant advances in this area. Introductory lectures and advanced seminars will make the participants familiar with different aspects of today's photonics nanoworld and their applications. The school is promoted by the COST Action MP0702 [ Towards Functional Sub-Wavelength Photonic Structures ] and organized by the National Research Council of Italy (CNR), in collaboration with SIOF - the Italian Society of Optics and Photonics. This School follows the Summer School on Plasmonics, organized by the COST Action MP0702 in Porquerolles (France) in September 2009. The School is dedicated to PhD students, Post Docs and researchers who are interested to acquire an updated knowledge in nanophotonics; the venue is the Research Area of CNR in Naples, and this will permit participants to visit nanophotonics laboratories.
